Triin Kerge is a photographic artist from Tartu who now lives in Wales. A year ago, she graduated from the University of South Wales with a bachelor’s degree in documentary photography. In her documentary series “Kodukoht” (“Homeplace”), taken from autumn 2013 to spring 2014, she photographed people’s homes in Estonia. Through the windows of the homes she visited, we see seasons change. In this poetic manner, the artist also refers to the social changes that took place in Estonia over the last half century (Soviet occupation and restoration of independence, accession to the European Union etc).
