Reimo Võsa-Tangsoo is a photography artist who lives and works in Tallinn. His work has investigated various social interaction processes and the problems stemming from them. In 2011, he defended his master’s degree in the field of photography at the Estonian Academy of Arts, he has participated in group exhibitions since 2003. Võsa-Tangsoo’s most recent solo exhibition at Draakoni Gallery in 2015, “… Tabada tuuma ja põrgusse tagajärjed” (“… As close to the bone as I could get, and to hell with the consequences”, is a black and white documentary series of portraits of Estonian politicians at general election campaign events. He is interested in the rhetoric used by politicians in the age of ever-expanding mass and social media, when visual self-presentation – whether and how a politician is photographed by press photographers – has become more important than ever before.
