Katrin Tees is an Estonian photographic artist who lives and works in Lübeck. She studied at the former Tallinn Pedagogical University and has a master’s degree from the Estonian Academy of Arts. In her photographs and installations, she mainly explores social themes, tracking human behaviour and society. The photo series “Eine Sekunde” (“One Second,” 2014) consists of photographs taken in city environments that trace motion during precisely one second. These photographs are displayed in glass jars that make the unfurling of the second a playfully complicated process for the viewer.
